Complaint 1

My God, why do You torment me with knowledge?
Why do You grant me wisdom, it is bitter for my stomach.
In my sleep I grief because of my suffering.
In my wake I lament because the suffering of my neighbour.

But Lord, I trust You.
Do to me what You think is good.
For You are Wisdom and Your plan is unchanging.
The beginning of wisdom is the fear of God.

What is the end of wisdom? Does wisdom have an end?

Short story 1 Part 2

The same man yet looked down and wondered, "What are these little ants doing here?"
The ants answered, "
Don't you know that it's almost winter.
Therefore gather your salvation before winter
"

What will you do now?

An sit deus? Quid sit deus? Qua sit deus?

Short story 1 Part 1

On the shore of the Markee lake, stood a figure. Looking up toward the ocean of stars, he wondered, "Why does the stars have their own place while the sun and moon are set in a perpetual motion?".

The lake answered,"
Vanity, everything is vanity.
Not withstanding time, everything will vanish.
Not the sun, nor the moon.
Not the clouds, nor the mountains
Not the oceans, nor the rivers
Not the fields of grass, nor the fields of snow
Not the birds nor the fish
Not the beast of the land nor the human.
Everything fades, everything perish.
"

The man continued his wondering, "Then why do I live?". He then drowned himself in sorrow forever since that time.

An sit homo? Quid sit homo?

Poem 1

From ages everlasting it has been set.
That man should live but once.
And afterward die or live forevermore.

Wherefore art Thou, MY LORD!
Visit me not in my iniquity.
Rebuke me not in your anger.

Lest I wither away
Or be turned to dust.
For who can stand Your wrath?

But Lord, in You do I cast my hope.
For You are my glory, the lifter of my head.
Not in my heart or my strength I put my faith.
For they shall fail.
But the Lord is the strength of my heart and portion forever.

Let me not provoke You to anger
By lusting for those that are not my Portion.
Instead, keep me in Your Name,
That I may delight in Your Law.

Thanksgiving and praise,
Prayer and worship.
Scripture Reading and Obeying.
Those I have done, I haven't neglected those.
Yet not by those I am vindicated.

In Your mercy, search me out.
In Your grace, vindicate me.
In Your longsuffering, chastise me.
In Your steadfast love, purify me.
In Your faithfulness, save me.
